Young Souls UK - Meditation & Movement Groups
Young Souls UK hold Movement & Mindset Groups for teens and kids. They are designed to help children cope more easily with anxiety, stress and unhelpful emotions that they may experience as they grow up. We teach kids meditation and mindset from a young age, allowing them to understand more about each emotion and how it feels inside their body. We want kids to be familiar with the feeling of being still and quiet, even if it’s only for a minute! Yoga doesn’t just provide kids with physical exercise, it helps them improve their concentration skills, increases flexibility and balance, relaxes their mind helping them de-stress and boosts their confidence by displaying greater agility and flexibility; they begin to believe in the superhero abilities that they hold within! We have the children using their imagination in a fun, positive way. They get the benefits of traditional yoga the same as adults achieve during a yoga class, but they have lots more fun while doing it.
Each session includes mindful discussions based on emotions or topics relating to the children in each group, a yoga flow which benefits them physically, emotionally and mentally, breathing techniques to show them how they can calm themselves when unhelpful emotions arise and we finish with a guided meditation to allow them to fully relax. Our main aim is to show kids that they can calm themselves down and stabilise their mind, especially when unhelpful feelings show up. Developing these skills at a young age will provide them with techniques that they can use throughout their life. These groups are available for children aged 4-16.
One to one sessions are also available for children who struggle with group settings.
