Sheree Brown
Hi there, I'm Sheree and I am currently teaching Flow, Yin & restorative Yoga classes at The Loft.
A bit about me; I trained in dance since the age of 4 and then went on to train in Dance & Musical Theatre full time, as much as I absolutely love to dance, the competitive side just wasn't for me, so I began teaching full time after being offered a job in Beijing, China, I worked and lived there for 2 years before moving on to Hong Kong for 4 years. Teaching children and adults between 35 to 40 classes a week, was really taking its toll not only on my body but hugely on my patience! So I started yoga, firstly to deal with past injuries I'd had from dance but stayed at it mostly for the mind and the benefits I felt. Hong Kong being a busy and competitive city, I tried all different styles to see what would suit me. I absolutely fell in love with Yin and it's calming affect it had on me, it's East meets West connection, bringing Traditional Chinese medicine alongside western science.
My first course was in Yin, Myoyin and Myofascial release. After I returned back to Scotland at the end of 2022, missing Asia tremendously I booked my 200 hour multi style course in Ubud, Bali. Since then, I've been studying with The Yintelligence school of Yin and Functional Yoga, courses including 'Inclusive & trauma informed approach to Yoga' and 'Functional Approach to Yoga, Yin Yang & shoulder anatomy' I'm very passionate about continuing my studies and delving deeper, to consistently be learning new teaching methods.
About my classes; All of my classes can be adapted to suit the needs of the persons attending. No need to be 'flexible' or 'strong' just present and enjoy!
