Yoga Wellbeing Journey
Hello, I’m Holly, founder of Yoga Wellbeing Journey, and I’ll be your guide for this Beginners & Improvers class.
I specialise in supporting adults aged 45–70 to build strength, stability, mobility and calm through intelligent, well-structured movement.
Yoga has been part of my life for decades, but I deepened my professional training just before turning 50 - a pivotal stage that sharpened my focus on longevity, functional strength and sustainable wellbeing.
My own experience of chronic back pain during the early years of running a business led me to explore yoga more deeply. Through consistent, well-aligned practice, I rebuilt strength and resilience in both body and mind. That lived experience informs how I now teach: safely, progressively, and with careful attention to individual needs.
Prior to teaching yoga, I ran a successful fashion business, with designs featured in international publications including Vogue and shown on runways in Milan. Although creatively rewarding, the pace was unsustainable. That chapter reinforced the importance of balance, nervous system regulation and long-term health - principles that underpin my teaching today.
I later transitioned into education and completed an ILM Level 7 qualification in Business Coaching. This advanced training strengthened my understanding of behaviour change, habit formation and sustainable progress - essential components of any long-term wellbeing journey.
I am currently undertaking further training in Yogalates, integrating evidence-based Pilates principles into yoga practice. This approach enhances core strength, postural support, joint stability and balance - all crucial factors for maintaining independence, bone health and confidence as we age.
My approach is steady, structured and inclusive - designed to help you move well now, and continue moving well for years to come.
