Superstar Yoga
Superstar Yoga is delighted to be at The Loft.
My name is Nicki, an RYT 200 Seasonal Yoga teacher and I'm passionate about Yoga and what it can do for your body and mind.
Why Superstar Yoga I hear you ask? Yoga makes me feel like I can do anything, it makes me calm, eases the chatter in my mind, it moves my body and I feel open and relaxed and I want to share that feeling with you all. I want you to feel like a superstar, because you are!
I teach Seasonal Yoga, which combines Yoga, Tai Chi and Qi Gong, breathing techniques and meditation, which along with some lifestyle tips will help you get the best out of the time of year and what's going on in nature. Think of it this way, do you sometimes get the 'winter blues'? Then Seasonal Yoga can help you overcome that. Why is summer the season of love? It's because our energy is high and our hearts are open.
I also teach Yin Yoga a softer and meditative type of Yoga. It can help to increase flexibility and flow of energy flow. These classes are slower and we'll hold these passive, more floor based poses for longer. The mind and body will soften, relax and release deeply held stress and tension in the body. We'll also uses the asanas to target specific muscles, organs and meridians (energy lines) whist still following the Seasonal Yoga patterns to create harmony and balance within us.
Many people turned to Yoga during the pandemic and like the convenience of practicing at home, so classes are available face to face in the studio and online at the same time. Whether in the studio or online you can be part of our 'yoga tribe' and feel the wonderful energy.
There are three one hour classes to choose from each week:
Mondays - Seasonal Flow at 6p.m. and 7.15p.m.
Thursdays - Yin Yoga at 7.30p.m.
Everyone who books in is sent a link to the recording so you can repeat the session when suits you or get it on-demand if you weren't able to make join in live.
All abilities are welcome. I will offer modifications where needed and we have props to hand should you need them too. One to one sessions are also available on request, drop me an email at: [email protected]
